Admission Criteria
- Earned master’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or higher
- No GRE is required for admission to the program
- Completed Application for Admission to UM Graduate School
- Three (3) letters of recommendation
- Statement of Purpose
The Statement of Purpose should be around 1,000 words (4 pages double-spaced). The statement should include the following:
- Talk about your background and why you are interested in pursuing an Ed.D. in Higher Education Leadership at the University of Miami
- Where do you want your Ed.D. degree to take you, professionally and personally?
- How will your unique background add value to the Ed.D. program? How will you enrich the experience of other students in the Ed.D. program?

The Higher Education Leadership Ed.D. program only admits students in the Fall semester
