Passing the CPCE is required for all students. Student must pass the CPCE with a score of 95 or better. This exam serves as the comprehensive examination for the program. You will receive information about this exam in EPS 682 Practicum in Counseling course.
If you are a first year student, you have to take your core courses before registering to take the exam.

2. Once you have registered and CCE approves the registration, you will receive an email from CCE about the venue where you can take the exam. Please follow those instructions.

To receive accommodations you must submit documentation from UM’s Office of Disabilities Services and send to the CCE office at accommodations@cce-global.org. The supporting letter(s) must be on the school’s letterhead, list your name and specific approved accommodations, and be signed and dated.
Do not register with CCE or pay for your exam if you have an existing account until after you receive an authorization to test email confirming your accommodations from Pearson VUE.
To date, we have a 100% passing rate for students in the MHC program on the Counselor Preparation Comprehensive Examination. Not every student passes on the first try, but all have ultimately passed the CPCE.
